Each painting corresponds broadly to annual cycles, focussing on the flowers, fruits and creatures that naturally appear, or are visible in each calendar month. Flowers are depicted in various stages of growth and wildlife is included as a co-presence, representing the pollinators and seed dispersers that participate in the cycle of life in the countryside.
